About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician/Team Leader to join our Estates Engineering Maintenance Services team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of maintenance programmes that contribute to the Trust's objectives.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Estates Officers in the delivery of maintenance programmes
  • Coordinating and managing maintenance and repairs of Trust properties, equipment, and grounds
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, Health Technical Memorandums (HTM), and Trust policies and procedures
  • Developing and implementing working strategies and processes
  • Managing and maintaining accurate records and data entry
  • Participating in the management 'On call' rota and supporting on-call duties during periods of operational pressures

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HNC / Level 4 Apprenticeship Diploma or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Relevant demonstrable experience in mechanical or electrical engineering commensurate with the requirements of the role
  • Able to plan, organise and manage own work activities
  • Able to accurately interpret information relating to H&S, legislation Mandatory requirements
