Mechanical Technician/Team Leader

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician/Team Leader to join our Estates Engineering Maintenance Services team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of maintenance programmes that contribute to the Trust's objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Estates Officers in the delivery of maintenance programmes, ensuring compliance with legislation, Health Technical Memorandums (HTM), and Trust policies and procedures.
- Undertake works relating to the maintenance and repairs of Trust properties, equipment, grounds, and gardens, ensuring compliance with Statutory requirements, HTM's, Trust Policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement working strategies and processes to support the Estates Officers and maintenance team.
- Implement and sign off management documentation, including asset management and technical support for maintenance, routine planned, and reactive maintenance tasks across all trades.
- Complete data entry into paper and electronic systems, including job dockets, asset management details, time sheets, and stock sheets.
- Participate in the management 'On call' rota and may be required to support on-call duties during periods of operational pressures.

Person Specification
- HNC / Level 4 Apprenticeship Diploma or equivalent, or relevant demonstrable experience in mechanical or electrical engineering commensurate with the requirements of the role.
- A recognised form of computer skills training for Spreadsheets/ databases or ability to demonstrate effective use of programmes.
- Able to plan, organise, and manage own work activities.
- Able to accurately interpret information relating to H&S, legislation Mandatory requirements.
