Role Overview:
Gleeson Recruitment Ltd is seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to lead the finance function of a leading retail business. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for driving financial performance, improving financial systems, and providing strategic insights to inform business decisions.
- Manage and Optimize Cash Flow: Ensure efficient cash management and accurate reporting to senior leadership.
- Strategic Business Partner: Collaborate with operations teams to drive performance improvements and provide financial insights to inform business decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the production and presentation of P&L reports, management reports, and variance analysis to provide actionable insights for business performance.
- Financial Systems Improvement: Lead the continuous improvement of finance systems, identifying areas for automation and process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Stock Flow Management: Collaborate with operations teams to improve stock flow management, ensuring alignment between financial and operational processes.
- Financial Planning: Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate financial planning across the business.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
- Fully Qualified Accountant: ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
- Cash Flow Management: Proven experience in cash flow management, reporting, and analysis
- Business Partnering: Strong business partnering skills, with a track record of working closely with operations teams to drive performance improvements
- Financial Systems: Demonstrated experience in leading the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes
- Financial Expertise: Expertise in managing P&L, banking operations, and delivering timely management reports
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear financial insights and recommendations
