About the Role

The London Borough of Sutton is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Business Partner to join its shared finance service. This role will focus on providing strategic support to the council's Place directorate, working closely with the Head of Financial Business Partnering and the Strategic Finance Business Partner-Place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing subject matter expertise and taking responsibility for ensuring that services produce accurate and useful financial information and forecasts.
  • Supporting services and colleagues to develop the medium-term financial plan and deliver their services within budget.
  • Providing direct support to council directors, enabling them to play their part in protecting the financial health of the council.
  • Providing high-quality professional advice on the financial implications of corporate proposals and drafting financial comments within committee reports.
