Thames Hospice is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Superstore Manager to lead our brand-new charity superstore in Reading. As a key member of our Retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing all departments within the superstore, including furniture, homewares, fashion, an upcycling studio, a repair workshop, a distribution centre, and a coffee shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide a team of retail professionals to achieve exceptional customer service and sales results.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive store performance and meet sales targets.
- Manage and maintain a high-quality retail environment, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for customers and staff.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to develop and implement retail strategies that align with the charity's goals and objectives.
- Monitor and control store operations, including inventory management, stock control, and cash handling.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and charity policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a charity or non-profit organization.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong business acumen and ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions.
