A reputable managed service provider is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Field IT Support Technician with experience in 1st and 2nd Line support to assist their end clients. This role involves delivering direct technical assistance to users, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems and software.

This position is field-based, necessitating travel between various locations. Candidates must possess a valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Assistance: Deliver 1st and 2nd Line support, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connections.
  • Device Configuration: Aid in the configuration of Microsoft Authenticator, InTune, and Company Portal on both iOS and Android devices.
  • Equipment Distribution: Personally hand over new devices to users, ensuring all equipment is operational and correctly set up.
  • Software Setup: Ensure that Office applications (Outlook, OneDrive, etc.) are properly logged in and synchronized across all devices.
  • Application Installation: Manage the deployment of applications via the Company Portal on Windows 11 devices, ensuring correct installation and performance.
  • User Education: Provide training to end users on navigating and utilizing Windows 11 (version 23H2), enhancing their productivity.
  • Documentation: Distribute FAQ materials and guide users on contacting the IT helpdesk for additional support.
  • Record Management: Keep accurate records of equipment handover processes and related documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Demonstrated experience in a 1st/2nd Line IT support capacity.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Authenticator, InTune, and Company Portal setup on mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of Windows 11 (version 23H2) and Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct and assist end users.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

Compensation: £250 per day inside IR35

Location: Northern Ireland

Travel Required: Sites in County Armagh, County Tyrone, County Antrim
