Job Title: B5, B6 or B7 Counsellor/High Intensity Counselling Psychotherapist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counsellor/High Intensity Counselling Psychotherapist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with experience in community-based settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-intensity counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop treatment plans in consultation with colleagues.
  • Facilitate and manage change, promoting recovery and well-being for service users.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for team members.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, visitors, and external organizations, exchanging complex and sensitive information.

Requirements:

  • Registered Health Professional with a Master's degree or equivalent level of experience.
  • Recent experience in a community CMHT role at Band 6 or equivalent.
  • Specialist knowledge in clinical assessment, treatment, and care for people's mental health.
  • Practical experience of facilitating and managing change.
  • Evidence of proactive involvement in supervision and development of team members.
  • Able to communicate effectively at different levels of an organization.

Person Specification:

  • Essential criteria:
    • Registered Health Professional.
    • Master's degree or equivalent level of experience.
    • Recent experience in a community CMHT role at Band 6 or equivalent.
    • Specialist knowledge in clinical assessment, treatment, and care for people's mental health.
    • Practical experience of facilitating and managing change.
    • Evidence of proactive involvement in supervision and development of team members.
    • Able to communicate effectively at different levels of an organization.

Working Arrangements:

This is a fixed-term role, and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.
