About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Fire Risk Assessor to join our team, covering the London & South East and East of England Region. As an Operational Risk Assessor – Fire, you'll work closely with our team to carry out property-based fire risk assessments, ensuring the safety of our properties and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fire risk assessments on National Trust complex historic houses and larger National Trust holiday accommodation
  • Review existing fire risk assessments and produce revised assessments identifying specific mitigations
  • Work closely with our team to ensure compliance with fire safety legislation, building regulations, and technical standards
  • Travel to various locations, including overnight stays, to conduct assessments and meetings

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in fire safety & fire risk assessment (e.g., Fire Protection Association, NEBOSH, Graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineers)
  • Fire risk management and fire risk assessment expertise
  • Recognised listing on a national recognised register for fire risk assessors or suitable comparable practical experience
  • Working knowledge of current fire safety legislation, building regulations, and technical standards
  • Knowledge of working within the Heritage environment
  • Knowledge of working within a sleeping risk environment
