Web Standards Specialist (W3C) - JavaScript / HTML / Web APIs

  • Are you proficient in Web Development with a solid grasp of W3C web standards?
  • Would you like to work with a globally recognized technology and mobile development organization?

We are in search of a Web Standards Specialist who possesses a strong understanding of W3C standards and ideally has a background in web development to become part of our client’s team.

As a Web Standards Specialist, your role will involve active participation in W3C standards initiatives and contributing to the evolution of web standardization in alignment with the organization's browser and product strategies.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in web development with a thorough understanding of current and emerging web standards, especially those established by W3C.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, Web APIs, and related development tools and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of delivering high-quality solutions within specified constraints and timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present information clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences at external events and conferences.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within W3C standards/specification groups.
  • Knowledge of emerging privacy standardization efforts and privacy-preserving features in browsers.
  • Experience in writing technical articles, contributing to podcasts, and engaging in other forms of social media communication.
  • Familiarity with the mobile device and browser marketplace.
