About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our Earthworks Team on a major construction project in the West Midlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of earthworks operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate earthworks activities, including excavation, grading, and embankment construction.
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop solutions to complex construction challenges.
  • Supervise and train site staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including tracking milestones and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects, preferably in earthworks.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct site staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Hold a current driving license and CSCS Card, with SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
