Site Engineer – Compliance - PSV Structure

Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham as well as continue their journey up to Manchester. It’s an incredibly exciting time to join us - we’re at peak construction with work really ramping up on a broad range of assets including bridges, tunnels and viaducts. Plus you’d join 9,000 people across 72 nationalities working on this exciting section of HS2 across the region.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Site Engineer- Compliance within the Precast Segment Viaduct section of works.

This role will be based on site in Water Orton, The project’s most complex network of structures in the West Midlands, this sublot includes the Delta Junction – a triangular section of the high-speed railway made up of nine precast segmental viaducts, embankments, and other bridging structures, with around 10km of track crossing a network of motorways, roads and rivers.

Experience needed :

• Experienced as a Site Engineer on Civil Engineering major construction projects ideally Bridges/ Structures

• Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately.

• Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity, including managing others in this regard.

• Strong work ethic

• Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card. SSSTS or SMSTS qualified.

• Excellent team player and team leader, able to work competently and autonomously without supervision

. Reports back as necessary to update Line Management

• Strong communication skills with track record of solution orientated approach to issue resolution.

About Balfour Beatty VINCI

Balfour Beatty VINCI is a long-established joint venture between two powerhouses for the delivery of critical infrastructure across rail, transport and other iconic projects in the UK and beyond. We started working together over 30 years ago to deliver the Channel Tunnel, as members of the TransManche Link consortium. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
