Role Overview

We are currently seeking skilled Project Managers to enhance our growing Real Estate division in Newcastle.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Project Management assignments, ensuring comprehensive service delivery from inception to completion.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, guaranteeing that client goals are achieved and projects are completed within specified timelines and budgetary constraints while adhering to quality standards.

ROLE SCOPE

Project Managers will oversee commissions of various scales and values; typically, projects may reach up to £40 million in value. However, for advisory services, such as urban regeneration funding, the overall project size may be significantly larger.

Key project management responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic advice during the project conception phase, including recommendations on approaches to meet the client's overarching objectives.
  • Establishing success criteria for the project, encompassing time, cost, technical, and performance metrics.
  • Planning and managing quality, safety, health, and environmental considerations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implementing effective project governance, processes, and systems to be utilized during the project.
  • Developing a detailed project plan and ensuring its execution.
  • Advising on resource procurement.
  • Leading and facilitating a cross-functional project team.
  • Monitoring performance management techniques, including the application of KPIs to enhance project outcomes.
  • Managing the change control process.
  • Overseeing project finances and providing financial guidance.
  • Ensuring effective communication of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written updates.
  • Producing formal project progress reports and other documentation.
  • Taking a proactive role in client and consultant interactions at all project stages.

Marketing and Business Development

  • Drive the development of new business opportunities with existing and prospective Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Associate Directors and Directors to prepare bids for new projects.
  • Participate in formal client presentations alongside Assistant Directors and Directors.
  • Maintain up-to-date project case studies, photographs, and CV files.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance project management products and services.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Real Estate projects, preferably within a consultancy setting.
