Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Terrorism Underwriter to join our team at Munich Re Specialty Group. As a key member of our Political Violence team, you will play a critical role in the creation and delivery of our business plan, driving growth and ensuring targeted income levels are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite Political Violence risks, exercising sound judgement and adhering to our underwriting business plan.
  • Establish and run projects to serve clients and diversify our portfolio from a risk and income perspective.
  • Conduct book reviews and regular monitoring to ensure our business plan is being executed.
  • Negotiate new wordings and structures to meet clients' needs while preserving a prudent risk appetite.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and systems.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of underwriting principles, legal principles, and FCA and Lloyd's rules and regulations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of other syndicate lines of business and political violence risks.
  • Strong understanding of the roles of colleagues and their relationships to the structure and business plans of the Firm.
