About the Role

Vantage Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHEQ Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving excellence across health, safety, quality, and environmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Oversee and maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards, including ISO 9001, FORS, RISQS, Achilles, and Ecovadis.
    • Conduct risk assessments and ensure that all locations and field-based engineering teams are compliant with health and safety procedures.
  • Quality Management
    • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management Systems.
    • Ensure Health and Safety processes are implemented and maintained.
    • Comply with environmental and sustainability legislation.
  • Facilities Management
    • Ensure site manuals and annual fire evacuations are conducted.
    • Perform safety audits and workplace risk assessments.
  • Environment and Sustainability
    • Manage hazardous waste documentation and procedures.
    • Train on environmental protection procedures.
    • Maintain an environmental management system.
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Lead and manage the compliance team (1 direct report).
    • Communicate the importance of health, safety, quality, and environmental initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Project Management
    • Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in health, safety, quality, and environmental initiatives.
Requirements
  • Tech IOSH / Grad IOSH or CMIOSH.
  • Proven experience in SHEQ management, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering or technical industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
