Job Title: Project Engineering Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Leader to join our team at GE Aviation. As a Project Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for leading the engineering activities of a project, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the engineering activities of a project, including the preparation of specifications, leading on deviations and clarifications, and attending FATs and SATs.

* Coordinate design activities, manage the project design budget, and oversee the design change process.

* Supervise and coordinate engineering activities required to execute the project, whether done in-house or by our delivery partners.

* Ensure technical coordination of the Grid Solutions Project.

* Manage global time schedules of concerned engineering activities, check coherency of links between engineering activities and other project functions activities, and organise follow-up of critical activities of the project or of your discipline.

* Plan and manage delivery time of technical interfaces with your work package, put in place exchange interface sheets with partners, customer, and third-party contractors.

* Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality, including Partner documents.

* For large and complex projects, support Project Engineering Director and Project I&I manager in the engineering change management.

* Follow the engineering budget and identify potential savings and highlight to the Project Manager all instances requiring additional budget.

* Participate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews according to the EMH procedures and per the project strategy.

* Manage scope or design changes and prepare related claims and VO to be approved by Project Engineering Director or Project Manager.

* Analyse customer technical requirements, prepare and or consolidate clause by clause analysis and ensure compliance to Customer requirements through Technical Queries, identify, track, manage potential change.

* Represent customer interests in the design decisions at Project Manager's request.

* Ensure that Management of return status of project documentation internal or external (approved, comments, resubmit, rejected) is performed for your work package.

* Check effectiveness of design against delivery of contract requirements within project budget and look for global cost optimisation in all design phase and mainly during basic design.

Requirements:

* Engineering degree level or equivalent education/experience

* Experience of Engineering activities as lead engineer in EPC type environment

* Successful experience in project technical management in a multi-disciplinary team's context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries

* Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

* Knowledge of GIS systems is beneficial
