Culinary Team Member Role:

To contribute to the success of the restaurant, outlet, and banquets, in accordance with our company standards and financial goals.

Culinary Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Organise and set up the assigned section of the kitchen to increase speed and maximise productivity.
  • Ensure that all dishes from that section are prepared consistently and according to standard recipes.
  • Assist the senior culinary staff in ensuring that all culinary standards in that section comply with company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor food and operating costs and control these by reducing waste.
  • Train kitchen staff in the skills necessary for them to perform their function.
  • Work in any sections of the kitchen when necessary or as requested by the senior culinary staff.
  • Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to the restaurant service delivery team.
  • Ensure that set ticket times are met and communicate to management if not met.
  • Use and apply proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills.
  • Set up, operate, and clean all kitchen machinery/equipment and store it in its proper place.
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary.

Culinary Team Member Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working within a similar sized kitchen would be preferable.
  • Excellent organisational skills alongside the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to follow instructions while using your own initiative to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment.
