Backend Game Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Backend Game Developer to join our team at Freejam Games. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the core backend systems and technologies that power our games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust backend systems and features for our games
  • Collaborate with the programming team to ensure high-performance and efficient server-side operations
  • Work with modern frameworks and technologies to ensure scalability and security
  • Contribute to the documentation and automated testing procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with Leads, other senior backend programmers, directors, and other project stakeholders
Requirements
  • Significant experience developing back-end systems for games or similar environments
  • Proven experience in a commercial environment developing high-scalability online services
  • Strong C# programming skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of cloud services like AWS and OVH
  • Experience with matchmaking systems and client-server methodologies
  • Good knowledge of scalability, security, and readable code
Bonus Points
  • Experience with OpenAPI and code generation tools
  • Video game specific experience
  • Knowledge of Unity for game development
