Job Title: Cleaning/Waste Operative

Location: Dartford

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

Hours: 38.5 Hours 19:00pm-07:00am

Rate of Pay: £13.97 per hour

ABM UK is seeking a Cleaning/Waste Operative to join our team in Dartford. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing a high level of janitorial and waste removal services to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment to provide janitorial and waste removal services.
  • Carry out duties efficiently and effectively in a warehouse environment, including providing a high level of service in welfare areas, social areas, and production areas.
  • Handle waste generated on site via approved waste streams and ensure it is ready for transportation.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, including walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers, and ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in a safe working order.
  • Respond to spillages and callouts from the client's on-site team.
  • Communicate effectively with your team and line manager.
  • Wear protective clothing (PPE) and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies.
Requirements:
  • Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level and knowledge of health and safety requirements or a willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn.
  • High attention to detail.
  • An ability to work under pressure.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • An ability to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment.
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
