About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Skills Development Coach to join our team at Manchester Metropolitan University. As a Skills Development Coach, you will play a key role in supporting the development of our apprentices and employers, providing coaching and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and guidance to apprentices and employers to help them develop the skills and knowledge required for the apprenticeship standard.
- Conduct regular reviews with apprentices and their line managers to monitor progress and identify any emerging issues.
- Develop and deliver training programmes to support the development of apprentices and employers.
- Provide ongoing pastoral support to apprentices, including referring to Student Services where necessary.
- Liaise with academic teams to support students with their assignments and workplace projects.
- Represent the University in the workplace and provide information, advice and guidance to employers and apprentices.
Requirements
- Experience of teaching, assessing or coaching students, apprentices or trainees.
- Experience of providing ongoing pastoral support.
- Experience of working within a relevant sector.
- Experience of developing positive and successful relationships with employers.
- A clean driving licence and ability to travel when required.
