Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic school that supports students with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support a diverse range of needs. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well within a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people are essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering whole class cover during the absence of the class teacher or during PPA cover
- Supporting the teacher in personalising the curriculum to allow the students to thrive
- Supporting the teacher with planning of future lessons
- Implementing the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding the students
- Establishing and maintaining an enjoyable and safe learning environment
- Engaging students in their lessons and fostering a love for learning
The successful candidate will have a Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools, Level 4 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualifications in nursery work or childcare.
