Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

At Raytheon Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Supplier Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met across our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Lead quality working groups to diagnose and mitigate product non-conformities, and provide advice to business area leads and programme leads on quality aspects of work.
  • Perform quality escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective/preventive actions via a management review board for design problems.
  • Analyse quality data and manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement and preventative action initiatives to reduce quality costs.
  • Interface with shop floor assemblers and support staff, as well as with customers, to ensure optimal performance and delivery.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, and conduct internal product audits.
  • Identify and manage risk in product development, primarily utilizing process flow, control plans, and first article inspection.
  • Lead APQP/PPAP supplier flow-down activities in collaboration with engineering and supply chain.
  • Manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality issues in line with AS13000, ensuring a collaborative approach with suppliers during RCCA investigations.

  • Able to perform effectively in an integrated project team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of problem-solving and resolution.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to navigate Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email applications.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Good business/commercial acumen.
  • Familiar with AS9100 (QMS) and AS9102 (FAI) processes.
  • Hands-on experience of AS9145 - APQP and PPAP.
  • Knowledge of RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methods.
  • Good understanding of Lean and six sigma principles.
Desirable:
  • BA/MBA/B.Eng/M.Eng/MSc/CQI/IRCA Certified and/or equivalent.
  • Experience in working within integrated commodity environments.
  • PCA/PCB & OEM experience.
  • Experience or knowledge of SAP and Power BI tools.
  • Experience of working with suppliers & subcontractors (UK, European & International).
  • Experience within Aero/Defence industry.
  • Able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
