The Scottish Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to take on the role of Chair of the Scottish Enterprise Board. As Chair, you will play a key role in ensuring the Board's functions are delivered effectively, while maintaining a strong focus on corporate governance and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
The Chair will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic leadership and direction to the Board
- Working closely with the CEO and wider organisation to achieve the Board's objectives
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including the business community, politicians, and other external partners
- Ensuring the Board is diverse, effective, and maintains the highest standards of corporate governance and financial management
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a public or private sector organisation
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A deep understanding of the business support landscape in Scotland
