Overview

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is seeking a new member to join its Board, which is responsible for providing education, training, and workforce development for the NHS and social care sector in Scotland.

The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic development and impact assessment of education and training, as well as strong communication and decision-making skills.

The Board member will play a central role in supporting the provision of high-quality education, training, and lifelong learning for NHS and social care staff, which is essential for delivering excellent health services.

The appointment is regulated by the Ethical Standards Commissioner, and the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate behaviours aligned to the values of care and compassion, dignity and respect, openness, honesty, and responsibility, and quality and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
