About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team at an 'Outstanding' school in Birmingham. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Planning and Delivery of Engaging Activities: Collaborate with our EYFS teachers to design and implement stimulating activities that cater to the diverse needs of all children in the class.
  • Provide Targeted Support for Learning and Development: Work closely with small groups of children to provide tailored support for their learning and development, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and Assess Children's Progress: Regularly monitor and assess children's progress, providing constructive feedback to teachers to inform future planning.
  • Ensure a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Create a secure and supportive environment for all children in the class, promoting their emotional and social well-being.
  • Build Positive Relationships with Parents and Carers: Establish strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and involving them in their child's education.
Requirements
  • A 2:2 degree or above and/or Level 3 in childcare
  • Experience working with young children in a school or nursery setting
  • A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and the ability to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
