About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join our team at High Profile Resourcing Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing civil structures, particularly within the water consultancy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge and experience independently or while supervising a team to perform technical design and analysis for new and existing steel and concrete structures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to support project delivery and lead quality, sustainability, and safety initiatives throughout the design and asset lifecycle.
  • Assist in preparing project briefs, scopes of work, and bid proposals, and manage time and budgets to meet project milestones and schedules.
  • Contribute to personal and professional growth, as well as the development of colleagues.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer, member of IStructE or ICE.
  • Knowledge of structural engineering codes (Eurocodes, BSI, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in reinforced concrete (RC) design, including water and soil retaining structures and foundations.
  • Experience in steelwork design.
  • Understanding of geotechnics and soil-structure interactions.
  • Experience in the water/utilities sector is an advantage.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and approve structural designs.
  • Proficiency in computational analysis techniques and software; knowledge of BIM is a plus.
  • Ability to inspect, diagnose, and recommend re-use or adaptation of existing structures.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques.
  • Commitment to sustainability, including re-use of structures and low carbon design.
  • Experience in project and business management, including resource planning and fee estimation.
  • Understanding of cost and contract management is an advantage.
