**Job Title:** Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Vertical Recruitment. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and supporting consultants to deliver high-quality projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Client Management:** Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their interests are met, and lead or support consultants as required.
  • **Team Development:** Enhance staff effectiveness by improving client relationships, internal systems, and developing team skills.
  • **Project Management:** Collaborate effectively with all relevant parties, managing project impacts and distributing workload efficiently.
  • **Documentation and Compliance:** Take responsibility for project management, including the training and development of junior staff, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Ensure all documentation and project outputs comply with Quality System procedures and relevant standards.
  • **Project Organization:** Manage multiple projects, including the organisation of trainee staff, while adhering to security procedures and confidentiality.
  • **Design Standards:** Contribute to maintaining high design standards by staying informed about industry developments and proven systems.
  • **Contract Compliance:** Support contract compliance with ISO standards, internal audits, and feedback processes.

**Requirements:**

  • **Customer Care:** Excellent customer care skills.
  • **Technical Competence:** Technically competent in mechanical design engineering.
  • **Project Management:** Proven project management skills.
  • **Communication:** Excellent communication skills within a team environment.
  • **Numeracy and Literacy:** Good numeracy, literacy, and computing skills.
  • **Time Management:** Ability to manage your own time and prioritise at busy times.
  • **Teamwork:** Good team ethic approach.
