About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Area Camden. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and social support to young people, helping them to develop meaningful relationships and become involved in their local communities.
  • Encourage and enable each young person to make positive life choices and achieve their full potential.
  • Responsible for recording and updating children's files, child protection records, and health and safety checks.
  • Work closely with the management team, health advisors, social workers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young people.
  • Carry out domestic duties, including meal preparation and planning, to ensure a varied and well-balanced diet for the young people in our care.
Required Attributes
  • Ability to engage with young people in a positive and proactive approach.
  • Self-motivation and a positive nature.
  • Sensitivity and reflectiveness.
  • Ability to listen and empathize.
  • Experience working in the care sector or residential care.
  • Relevant qualification or commitment to undertake a Level Diploma for Residential Childcare.
