In this leadership position, you will oversee the successful implementation of Pensions Policy, Support Strategy, and Administration within Pontoon Solutions in the UK. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

Core Objectives of the Role:

Strategic Oversight: Take ownership of Pension Delivery while supervising the pensions teams, ensuring the effective utilization of our internal ticketing systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance: Assist the organization in delivering compliant pension solutions for both new and existing business, including various public sector pension schemes, as we broaden our service offerings.

Committee Engagement: Actively engage in relevant pensions subcommittees, representing the organization in discussions related to pension schemes and arrangements.

Retirement Calculations: Execute retirement-related calculations, estimates, and periodic submissions for schemes where the organization is expected to fulfill or participate in that function.

Management of Death in Service: Play a pivotal role in overseeing Death in Service for employees by coordinating with the master trust provider and insurers, as directed by the Group Reward team.

Expert Guidance: Provide specialized support to People Services teams, advising on intricate pension inquiries and changes, while seeking guidance from the Pensions Manager or Group Reward when necessary.

Operational Enhancements: Propel operational advancements by identifying and defining enhancements, supporting changes to elevate our colleagues' experience and understanding of pensions.

Collaboration with Group Director of Pension: Work closely with the Group Director of Pension to align strategies, share insights, and ensure the smooth execution of pension-related initiatives across the organization.

  • Demonstrated experience in a specialized pension role.
  • Familiarity with Auto Enrolment and public sector pension schemes.
  • Proficient in core IT applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Understanding of defined benefit pension calculations.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Professional qualifications relevant to pensions are highly advantageous.

Your strategic insight and managerial capabilities will be crucial in nurturing a high-performing team and delivering outstanding pension services across Pontoon Solutions in the UK. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert within the Payroll/Pensions team regarding public sector pension matters.
