Job Title: Tenancy Investigations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tenancy Investigations Specialist to join our team at Octavia. As a key member of our housing solutions service, you will play a critical role in delivering effective solutions to residents, working closely with internal colleagues and external agencies to manage complex housing and tenancy cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour, hate crime, domestic violence, neighbour nuisance, subletting, unauthorized occupants, and squatting casework in line with policy and procedures.
  • Review and analyze results from data matching exercises and conduct tenancy checks against our own and other records.
  • Interview witnesses, initiate and prepare legal proceedings, and act as a court witness, pursuing appropriate legal remedies.
  • Investigate cases during office and non-office hours, including weekends, to ensure necessary evidence is collected.
  • Identify vulnerabilities that may be a factor in ASB complainants and alleged perpetrators' behavior and provide appropriate support and/or referrals.
  • Develop and implement preventative measures and diversionary projects to reduce ASB/Neighbour Nuisance and Tenancy Fraud.
  • Maintain and analyze ASB and Fraud case management data to improve understanding of the nature of ASB/Tenancy Fraud and help identify service improvements.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrative experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams to effectively manage complex tenancy cases.
  • Proven investigative skills and handling of legal cases.
  • Applied ASB and counter-fraud measures legislation, good practice, and policy and procedures in housing or other fields.
  • Demonstrative experience of effectively communicating with a diverse range of residents.
  • Experience of utilizing IT, including Microsoft Office, in multiple locations.
  • Experience of writing reports with complex information to a variety of audiences.
