Ophthalmology Theatre Scrub Nurse/Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Theatre Scrub Nurse/Practitioner to join our team in the Ophthalmology Theatre at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking team, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Theatre Scrub Nurse/Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the surgical team during operations, ensuring the smooth running of theatre sessions, and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate the peri-operative care of patients using specialist knowledge and skills.
- Acknowledge personal preferences, rights, and choice of patients undergoing surgery.
- Maintain health, safety, and the control of infection in clinical work areas in line with Trust policies and procedures.
- Store, prepare, and administer prescribed drugs to patients, and monitor the effects of drugs on patients in line with Trust policies.
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain materials and equipment for clinical procedures, take action if found to be faulty.
- Support, monitor, and care for patients during clinical procedures.
- Contribute to treating patients during clinical emergencies.
- Receive, transfer, and position patients for clinical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and legible records of care.
