Our Procurement and Outsourcing team is responsible for sourcing and managing third-party suppliers for the UK Health & Protection division, safeguarding Aviva against commercial, operational, and regulatory risks while delivering substantial value to both Aviva and our clients. The Supplier Management Specialists will establish a standardized approach to sourcing, onboarding, and managing our third-party suppliers, ensuring compliance with Aviva Group Standards. You will also oversee the effective implementation of our supplier oversight framework, in alignment with Aviva Group standards.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidates will be required to build and sustain strong relationships across the organization, leveraging their confidence and expertise to influence stakeholders and garner support. Experience in mentoring colleagues and business partners in adopting best practices in procurement and supplier management will be advantageous.

You should possess a solid understanding of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle and be able to articulate its significance to stakeholders and the broader organization. By considering core business priorities, such as customer focus and excellence, you will relate these imperatives to your sourcing strategies and the ongoing management of our selected suppliers.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in insurance, procurement, financial services, or supply chain management, with additional expertise in sourcing and supplier relationship management, preferably with leadership and coaching responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and supplier relationship management frameworks, including contract performance management and supplier risk management techniques.
  • Experience in managing significant outsourced relationships and commercial or change initiatives.
  • Exceptional negotiation capabilities.
  • Prior experience in healthcare and/or protection sectors would be beneficial.
