Operations Manager Job Description

Reed is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee key contracts and support our dynamic Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Manage key contracts and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Technical Advice: Provide technical advice on safe and cost-effective methodologies for work.
  • Resource Coordination: Liaise with the Operations team to coordinate resource availability for client work scopes.
  • Product Knowledge: Offer product and equipment knowledge as part of the company's pricing and tendering process.
  • Project Planning: Plan and organise labour, equipment, and materials for projects in conjunction with the Operations team and Contracts Manager.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Assist various company departments, including human resources, procurement, QHSE, and finance, to ensure seamless communication on operational activities.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
  • Availability: Be available on-call outside of normal office hours when required.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other Operations staff to achieve company targets.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in operations management or a similar role.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge relevant to the industry.
  • Project Methodologies: Ability to provide advice on project methodologies.
  • Resource Planning: Experience in planning and organising project resources.
  • Quality Standards: Familiarity with quality standards and enforcing organisational standards.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to be on-call as needed.
  • Team Player: Team player with a commitment to achieving company goals.
  • Driving Licence: Driving licence.
