Position Overview

Job Title: Residential Tenancy Case Advisor

Location: Remote

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience + Performance Bonus

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent - Flexible working options available

Role Objective:

The Residential Tenancy Case Advisor will be tasked with managing all phases of legal proceedings on behalf of clients, alongside any additional legal responsibilities that fall within their qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Case Oversight:

  • Oversee cases throughout the entire litigation process, including engaging legal counsel for trial preparation when necessary.
  • Reach out to clients post-notice expiration to assess the need for claim drafting.
  • Prepare eviction claims and other essential documents, including witness statements.
  • Organize cases for court appearances, which involves liaising with clients and opposing parties, as well as compiling case bundles and briefs for legal representatives.
  • Track case directives, responsibilities, and timelines, ensuring compliance with Possession Claims Online (PCOL) protocols.
  • Follow up with clients after possession orders are granted and prepare bailiff applications as required.
  • Maintain accurate records for billing and reporting purposes, providing regular updates to the Legal Management Team.
  • Engage with clients towards the conclusion of cases to discuss outcomes and introduce additional services offered by the company.
  • Utilize the case management system for all tasks and propose enhancements to existing processes.
  • Achieve billing targets set by the company.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients as needed.
  • Provide further support as directed by the Legal Management Team.

Knowledge Enhancement:

  • Stay informed about the latest legal changes and trends in the property sector.
  • Represent the company at legal conferences, trade exhibitions, and other relevant events.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing and website content.

  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.

  • Complete all assigned regulatory training within the designated timeframes each year.
  • Ensure adherence to company security protocols as outlined in the Personal Information Security Policy, reporting any concerns to the Department Manager.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Background in legal/property matters with a focus on Landlord and Tenant evictions.
  • Strong command of the English language, with proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Capability to work autonomously, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team to foster effective working relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quick to adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Motivated and resourceful, with a knack for identifying and implementing solutions to challenges.
  • Skilled in organizing and prioritizing caseloads to optimize time and resources.
