The Finance Business Partner is expected to undertake the following key responsibilities, along with any other reasonable duties as required:

Month-End and Forecast/Budget Management:

  • Comprehensive ownership of the financial status for designated Technology Practice areas.
    • Collaborate with the TSS Senior Finance Business Analyst and the Shared Services Center support team to provide a summary of the financial position for month-end reviews.
    • Lead the Forecast/Budget submission process, ensuring timely completion in accordance with the divisional timetable.
    • Oversee Annual Budget reporting, including the preparation of presentation materials and ad hoc analyses.
    • Monitor expenditures related to adjusting items, including mergers and acquisitions, exceptional costs, and redundancy expenses.
    • Manage headcount and full-time equivalent (FTE) reporting.
    • Provide monthly updates on cost tasks and overlays as required.
    • Lead the Working Capital forecast and budget submissions.
    • Prepare capital expenditure forecasts with accompanying commentary for group review.
    • Generate insightful commentary, variance analyses, and financial bridges.
    • Assist the TSS Planning Manager in managing recharges with divisions and intra-GS, monitoring monthly costs and coordinating budget submissions.
  • Support the TSS Planning Manager in the completion of monthly stakeholder packs and workstream review materials.
  • Assist in consolidating forecast and budget builds, ensuring key assumptions, dependencies, risks, and opportunities are clearly articulated.
  • Provide management reporting for TSS leadership teams and local managers as necessary.
  • Seek to enhance reporting capabilities, increasing the use of TM1 Excel add-ins, SAPFC, and SAP EPM.

Business Planning and 3-Year Plan (3YP):

  • Collaborate with the Technology Practice leadership team to develop the 3-Year Plan model, taking ownership of the final submission in TM1/SAPFC.
  • Provide analytical support and content creation, including slide preparation.

Systems Management (SAPFC and TM1):

  • Offer feedback on the TM1 forecast model to ensure it meets the needs of the TSS Finance Planning team for effective cost management.
  • Work with the TSS Planning team to identify development and enhancement requirements, including modeling for the 3-Year Plan, KPIs, and headcount reporting.
  • Support improvements in financial systems and tools utilized by the unit, particularly in SAPFC and TM1.
  • Maintain and update profit centers in SAPFC for Technology as needed.
  • Engage in workforce planning, collaborating with TM1 and HR teams to enhance data accuracy, including contingent worker and bonus data.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key member of the Technology Sub-practice leadership team.
  • Directly manage the Senior Finance Business Analyst.
  • Provide quarterly Technology Balance Sheet summaries through regular reporting updates from the Shared Services Center.
  • Deliver reporting on ad hoc programs and initiatives.
  • Contribute to statutory recharge processes as necessary.
  • Support the division's vision and business strategy, ensuring adherence to Informa's Group Finance policy and maintaining governance and controls.
  • Ensure data and process integrity is upheld.
  • Actively promote a culture of team engagement.
