Senior Employment Lawyer Role

Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Lawyer to join their Litigation legal team at Luton Borough Council. As a Senior Employment Lawyer, you will provide expert advice and representation to the Council in all areas of employment law.

The ideal candidate will have previous advocacy experience and exceptional relationship building, networking, and influencing skills. You will need to be a qualified Solicitor, barrister or FCILEx with 6 years+ PQE to apply. We are open-minded to speaking with candidates of all employment law backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive professional legal advice to the Borough Council and client department
  • Manage a portfolio of cases, including acting as a legal advisor to client organisations, providing support and advice to HR Department on employment-related matters, and preparing Employment Tribunal cases
  • Attend courts and tribunals, undertaking advocacy where required, and representing clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties
