Key Responsibilities

The Appointment Coordinator will oversee the management of Oncology Outpatient Waiting Lists, collaborating with the Scheduler to ensure that all treatments are scheduled in accordance with Cancer Waiting Times Standards.

This role entails adherence to Trust Waiting List Policies and National Waiting List targets, ensuring that patients receive appointments at the appropriate clinics as promptly as possible based on their clinical priority. Additionally, the Coordinator will ensure that clinics are filled in alignment with clinic regulations and advanced booking protocols.

The Coordinator will be an integral part of our busy team, assisting in the maintenance of waiting list targets and addressing daily inquiries from patients, General Practitioners, Consultants, wards, and departments. This includes managing all incoming telephone inquiries from patients and taking appropriate actions.
