As a member of the Digital Services and IT Team, reporting to the Head of Digital Services/IT, you'll assist with routine development, IT administration, and support tasks. This will allow Digital and IT Officers to focus on system improvements and collaboration projects, enhancing VSS processes through SharePoint automation. Your role aims to improve the overall digital experience for users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support as needed across various tasks
  • Handle routine IT administration, including monitoring and maintenance of systems
  • Gather requirements for system changes or new systems, ensuring seamless integration
  • Build relationships and promote IT services within VSS, fostering a collaborative environment
  • Assist with managing and monitoring the O365 environment, ensuring optimal performance
  • Document change control processes, including risks and contingency plans, to ensure business continuity
  • Liaise with the Service Desk to escalate issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Monitor and improve areas of responsibility, driving process efficiency
  • Help manage software licenses, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness
  • Support cyber security tasks and system alert monitoring, protecting VSS assets
  • Update the IT Hub and maintain the Asset Register, ensuring accurate inventory
  • Assist with service transitions and post-go live support, ensuring smooth handovers
  • Ensure Windows devices and mobile phones are up to date, maintaining a secure environment
  • Gather monthly KPIs for IT reporting, providing valuable insights
  • Update the IT calendar for key dates, ensuring timely reminders
  • Support data gathering for management reports, informing business decisions
  • Help assess external technology partners, ensuring alignment with VSS goals
  • Assist with project documentation, capturing knowledge and best practices
Requirements:
