Position Overview:
EHV Cabling & Substation Civil Works Estimator.

Are you a meticulous professional with extensive knowledge in civil engineering and the construction sector?


Our organization is in search of a proficient EHV Cabling & Substation Civil Works Estimator to oversee inquiries and ITTs from inception to completion, ensuring precise and timely tender submissions.


Key Duties:

Inquiry and ITT Management:
Oversee the complete process from receipt to submission, ensuring adherence to deadlines.

Tender Evaluation:
Thoroughly assess all tender documentation received.

Site Inspections and Consultations:
Participate in pre-tender consultations and site inspections as required.

Tender Schedule Development:
Create comprehensive tender schedules and submission materials.

Collaboration with Operations:
Collaborate closely with operations teams to comprehend project execution methods and outcomes.

Cost Estimation:
Generate detailed job cost estimates from foundational principles, including internal labor and management expenses.

Subcontractor Coordination:
Engage with specialized subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring multiple quotations for materials, equipment, and subcontracting services.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Work with various departments to compile thorough submissions.

Management of Tender Inquiries:
Address all tender inquiries and clarifications effectively.

Final Pricing and Commercial Assessment:

Assemble final pricing in the required format and conduct a comprehensive commercial evaluation with senior management prior to submission.


Submission of Bid Documents:
Accurately compile and submit all necessary bid documents on time.

Client Engagement:
Organize and participate in post-tender discussions with clients as necessary.

Qualifications:

Detail Orientation:
A thorough approach to analyzing engineering specifications, work scopes, and drawings.

Mathematical and IT Skills:
Advanced proficiency in mathematics and IT.

Communication and Presentation Skills:
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to collaborate closely with the bid team and other disciplines.

Adaptability:
Capability to manage varying workloads and meet client deadlines.

Industry Expertise:

Comprehensive understanding of civil engineering and the construction sector, particularly EHV-related civil works, including groundwork, reinforced concrete, substation civil works, trenching, ducting, and cable installation in cross-country and roadway environments.
