IT Infrastructure Specialist

Reed Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a reputable charitable organization to find an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft on-premises infrastructure, VMware administration, Microsoft 365 migration, Veeam backup solutions, and storage technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Align IT infrastructure strategy with organizational goals to drive business outcomes and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead infrastructure projects that contribute to the effectiveness of business operations and enhance the organization's IT capabilities.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand and meet their IT infrastructure needs, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions that meet the organization's evolving needs.
- Lead infrastructure upgrade projects, including hardware and software updates, to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure remains current and secure.
- Collaborate with all IT colleagues to reinforce infrastructure security and ensure the organization's data and systems are protected.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and integrate them into the organization's infrastructure where beneficial, driving innovation and improvement.
- Supervise and mentor the IT Support Engineer/s, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Delegate tasks and manage project timelines effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure good communications and a collaborative approach to work with IT team, other departments, and various stakeholders, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Create project plans, manage resource allocation, and risk, ensuring projects are well-planned and executed.
- Inform and implement IT policies and strategies, ensuring they align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Foundation degree or higher in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure roles focusing on Microsoft, VMware, and Cisco Meraki technologies, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and migration.
- Proven experience in planning and executing migrations to Microsoft 365 (including Office 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Intune), with a focus on ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
