Position Summary: We are currently in search of a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineering Specialist to become a vital part of our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of designated Capital Projects, ensuring adherence to engineering governance protocols.
  • Engage in the preparation of tender documents, procurement of quotations, and management of budgets.
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to finalize contracts and oversee the design, delivery, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
  • Lead and participate in risk assessment activities such as HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA for CAPEX initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including CDM requirements, and provide suitable RAMS for all operations.
  • Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve constraints affecting operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance energy and water efficiency, contributing to our net-zero carbon objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of the CAPEX 5-year plan by submitting project proposals and insights.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and training are delivered to production and engineering teams.
  • Analyze production data to assess efficiencies and drive volume increases.
  • Interpret and evaluate engineering drawings effectively.
  • Draft engineering specifications and technical documentation.
  • Devise engineering solutions tailored to meet business needs.
  • Gather and present technical information related to projects in an accessible format.
  • Create P&IDs, Plant & Equipment Schedules, and other essential project documentation.
  • Compile or generate all necessary asset information to update the CMMS system and define maintenance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in engineering roles.
  • Proven track record in managing engineering projects.
  • Valid driving license.
