Job Title: Academy HR Director

Armstrong Knight is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academy HR Director to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
  • Review and maintain staff benefits packages, providing recommendations and costings to the Board.
  • Manage benefits administration, including reviewing and maintaining the Staff Handbook.
  • Design, advise, and implement performance management and bonus-related schemes across the business.
  • Partner with senior management to ensure hiring, training, and performance protocols meet employment law compliance, business objectives, and fairness.
  • Manage holidays throughout the business, including monitoring attendance and sick leave.
  • Manage payroll and handle disciplinary processes and formal grievances.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Support the CEO in designing and executing employee and organization development strategies.
  • Work closely with the senior management team on all HR-related matters and represent the company.
  • Provide support and input to management regarding employee relations issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations impacting human resource functions.
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the databases.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a HR Manager role, preferably in Financial Services.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide, support, and motivate staff.
  • Previously reporting to a Board of Directors on HR matters.
  • A solid understanding of the key principles of employment law.
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Solid ethics and morals and sound judgment.
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in HR Management).
  • Sensitivity in handling confidential issues.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
