Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Position Overview

The role of Clinical Research Associate is essential in facilitating the execution of research initiatives within the Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. This position is pivotal in the establishment of the Innovation Hub, which aims to enhance mental health services for young individuals.

Key Responsibilities

The Innovation Hub will focus on two primary areas: Workforce Development and Research Evaluation. The Workforce Development aspect will emphasize the necessity for training in digital technologies and artificial intelligence, particularly in response to evolving guidance for inpatient care. This training will be tailored to support our inpatient units, ensuring our workforce is equipped with the latest skills.

In terms of Research Evaluation, there will be a significant emphasis on advancing clinical research and fortifying the foundational elements of research infrastructure. The goal is to leverage data effectively to inform practice and improve service delivery.

The Hub will convert research findings into structured training programs, ensuring that future commissioning is rooted in quality improvement and evidence-based practices. By utilizing current clinical evidence, we will develop initiatives that embody best practices, maintaining a consistently updated workforce while standardizing training across all providers.

As a Clinical Research Associate, your responsibilities will include conducting a comprehensive review of inpatient services and performing a skills assessment of the workforce to inform the development of training frameworks.

By collaborating with local universities, research institutions, and healthcare providers, the Innovation Hub aspires to establish new benchmarks for workforce development.
