Maintenance Technician

At Frasers Group, we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated equipment and minimizing downtime.
Job SummaryWe're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide site-based engineering support. You'll be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding of automated material handling equipment. Your expertise will ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our systems, enabling us to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding of automated material handling equipment.
- Respond to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
- Prioritize system faults and optimize uptime and availability of onsite automated equipment.
- Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
- Comply with health and safety legislation and prioritize a safe working environment.
- Participate in the delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing of upgrades and enhancements.
- Ensure optimum levels of onsite spare parts are maintained.
- Support site meetings and mentor, train, and advise junior members of the team.
- Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Experience working with automated material handling systems.
- Ability to work at height and understand Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
- Proven competence in H&S and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
- Ability to work in a time-critical environment and effective time and workload management skills.
- PC literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
