Maintenance Technician

At Frasers Group, we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on automated equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform planned repairs and reactive repairs of automated material handling equipment, including tote conveyors, spiral conveyors, sorters, shuttles, and robotics.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to resolve issues efficiently.
- Respond to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Prioritize system faults and optimize uptime and availability of onsite automated equipment.
- Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
- Comply with health and safety legislation as a top priority.
- Participate in the delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing of upgrades and enhancements.
- Ensure optimum levels of onsite spare parts are maintained.
- Support site meetings as required.
- Mentor, train, and advise junior members of the team.
- Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline (multiskilled preferable).
- Experience working with automated material handling systems.
- Ability to work at height.
- Capable of understanding Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
- Proven competence in H&S.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
- Ability to work in a time-critical environment.
- Effective time and workload management skills.
- PC literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
