About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at Sage. As a key member of our Reporting and Analytics Function, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality data insights to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Data Pipeline Delivery: Supervise the delivery of daily data pipelines, ensuring they are timely and accurate, to support the suite of BI reports for Sales & Commercial areas.
  • Support Go-To-Market Process: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure that new propositions or initiatives can be produced, and the correct business processes are in place to ensure data capture is possible.
  • Work with BI Development Team: Partner with the BI development team to ensure raw data is accurate, timely, well defined, and continuously improved.
  • Deliver Key Data Projects: Take accountability for, and deliver, key data projects, querying and modelling complex data from multiple and often disparate data sources.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Seek out and proactively work on continuous improvement projects looking at the way data is compiled and identify opportunities for efficiencies through automation and process/codebase improvements.
Requirements
  • Advanced Skills in Power Platform: Experience with Power Query, Power BI & Power Automate, and demonstrable skills in troubleshooting.
  • SQL Practitioner: Capable of building complex queries to mine and manipulate data in line with business logic.
  • Reporting Requirements: Skilled in interpreting and delivering against the scope of work requests.
  • Workload Management: Ability to effectively manage & prioritise workload, working to tight deadlines.
  • Agile Framework: Experience with working in Agile framework, utilising tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar.
Desirable Skills
  • Enterprise Data Warehousing: Experience with enterprise level data warehousing tool such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery or Amazon Redshift.
  • ELT Tools: Familiarity with ELT tools such as dbt, and version controlling through GitHub.
  • Data Observability: Familiarity with data observability tooling and techniques.
