Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced mobile plant operator to join our team at Envar Ongar. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various machinery and equipment, including 360 Material Handlers and Wheeled Loading Shovels, to maintain the safe and efficient operation of our site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of mobile plant equipment, including 360 Material Handlers and Wheeled Loading Shovels, to maintain site operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform daily and weekly checks on plant and machinery, including refueling, lubrication, and greasing, to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Report and record any defects or breakdowns promptly, and take corrective action to minimize downtime.
  • Comply with site rules, health and safety regulations, and follow safe systems of work to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a high standard of quality in all aspects of work.
  • Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment at all times.
  • Report any environmental hazards, health and safety breaches, or accidents/incidents to the supervisor or manager.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, including the operation of other plant and equipment and supervisory duties.
  • Assist other operatives as needed and when authorized by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating 360 Material Handlers and Wheeled Loading Shovels.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work safely and follow health and safety policies and procedures.
  • A good attitude towards environmental issues and sustainability.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
