Role Overview

The position of Commercial IT Strategy Lead is pivotal in establishing and guiding a new corporate category team dedicated to Professional Services. This encompasses a wide range of services, including Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive category management strategy for Professional Services.
  • Engage with the market to gain insights into supplier capabilities and explore innovative contract delivery models.
  • Streamline sourcing activities to enhance supplier relationships and improve spend analysis.
  • Oversee the strategic direction for each subcategory within the service pillar, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular business analysis to inform future category plans and strategies.

Collaboration and Leadership

The successful candidate will work closely with executive team members and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. This role requires the ability to foster a positive team environment, encouraging open dialogue and strong working relationships.

Commercial Strategy and Governance

Full accountability for sourcing activities related to this significant spend category, adapting resources to meet evolving strategic demands. The role also involves:

  • Establishing appropriate commercial strategies and governance frameworks.
  • Developing commercial intelligence to guide future initiatives.
  • Leading the Commercial Assurance & Control Review panel.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in strategic procurement at a project and program level, demonstrating expertise in managing complex procurement and commercial challenges.
