About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Neurodiversity Practitioner to join our Mental Health team at HMP Doncaster, a category B Prison located in Doncaster.

HMP YOI Doncaster is a busy male remand and resettlement prison with a capacity of 1065 for adults aged 18+. The prison is easily accessible by public transport, with a 10-minute walk from Doncaster train station or free parking on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care planned interventions meeting the individualized needs of patients with neurodiversity needs.
  • Assess and manage caseloads of patients referred to the service.
  • Collaborate with Primary Care, Mental Health, SMS, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Work closely with prison partners to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication, and competence.

Requirements

  • RMN, RNLD, Social Worker (Mental Health), or Occupational Therapist (Mental Health) qualification.
  • Current professional registration (NMC or HCPC equivalent).
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
  • Non-judgmental and compassionate approach.

Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
