Position Overview

Interim Financial Project Specialist - Contract Role - Hybrid Work Environment

A dynamic organization experiencing growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions is seeking to onboard a recently Qualified Accountant to enhance their financial team. The company has recently adopted a new financial management system and requires an interim professional to assist in optimizing reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate transformation initiatives and enhance process efficiencies.
  • Develop comprehensive Board reports to generate monthly insights from system data.
  • Create a suite of internal financial reports, refining and optimizing existing reporting methods.
  • Implement system functionalities to enhance bank reconciliation processes.
  • Assist in streamlining accounts payable operations, including new reporting mechanisms and controls.
  • Address and resolve historical balance sheet reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Enhance reporting and workflow processes to expedite financial closing, aiming for a target close timeline.
  • Establish collection processes across all service providers.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in Audit is essential, ideally with a background in an industry setting.
  • Proficiency in management accounting.
  • Expertise in process enhancement, including Board-level reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adept at handling large datasets with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to document processes clearly for universal understanding.
  • Familiarity with financial systems is beneficial, though specific experience with the current system is not mandatory.
