Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity is available for a dedicated and proactive Senior Healthcare Support Specialist to become a vital part of our committed nursing team within the trauma orthopaedics department. This role encompasses multiple wards, and while we will consider your preferences, placement is subject to availability.

Ward Descriptions:

  • Elective Joint Replacement Unit: A 24-bed facility focused on post-operative care, pioneering innovative day case pathways.
  • Orthopaedic Trauma Unit: A 32-bed unit providing comprehensive pre and post-operative care for patients aged 16 and above, dealing with a variety of orthopaedic injuries.
  • Neck of Femur Ward: A 30-bed ward dedicated to the care of patients with neck of femur fractures.

We are committed to supporting your professional growth as a healthcare assistant, equipping you with new skills and enhancing your expertise in orthopaedics.

We seek individuals who are passionate about delivering compassionate care and are eager to learn and grow in their roles. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of care plans developed by Registered Nurses.
  • Support patients with their activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Perform care duties under indirect supervision.
  • Oversee junior healthcare assistants, contributing to their training and development.
  • Undertake specific extended skills as required.

Essential Qualifications:
